Bee Walker was 12 years old when she got her first camera from her father.

Since then, she’s always had a camera by her side. But it wasn’t until she crossed paths with Rog Walker – a photographer and her future husband – that she truly fell in love with the process of using the photos as a storytelling tool.

Shooting Hudson Valley

Walker began commuting from her parents’ home and part time job in New Jersey to hang out and shoot in New York’s Hudson Valley on weekends. The scenic valley spans from just north of New York City, up along the Hudson River; the waterway carves through the mountains and offers dramatic views. Encouraged by Rog, Walker began to talk to more creative people, to see what they were doing and show them her work. Before long she realized she needed to be where the creative world was moving and happening. Now Walker is a photographer and creative producer for VSCO, an art and creative technology company based in California with an office in New York.

Photography as a Way of Life

Photography gives Walker energy and life. Inspired by Bryan Schutmaat’s "Grays the Mountain Sends," Walker’s next project and first book is to tell the story about her grandfather and his home in Kenya.

New York is Home

Although New York is their home, Walker and her husband love to travel and look for their next interesting backdrop.
